FAQs
For domiciliary care services, we can often begin support within 3-5 days of your initial assessment, depending on your specific needs and caregiver availability. For residential placements or supported accommodation, the timeline varies based on room availability and the comprehensive assessment process required. If you have an urgent need, please contact our team directly at info@chrystalcare.com and we’ll do everything possible to expedite the process.
Yes, absolutely. Chrystal Care is fully registered with the Care Quality Commission (CQC) for our adult social care services and with Ofsted for our children’s residential homes and supported accommodation services. We undergo regular inspections and maintain full compliance with all UK care regulations and safeguarding requirements. Our registration details are available on request, and you can check our ratings on the CQC and Ofsted websites.
Our pricing varies depending on the type and level of care required. Domiciliary care is typically charged per hour or per visit, while live-in care and residential services have daily or weekly rates. We provide transparent, detailed pricing during your initial assessment with no hidden costs. Some individuals may be eligible for local authority funding or direct payments – we’re happy to guide you through funding options and help with applications. Contact us for a personalized quote based on your specific needs.
Chrystal Care provides services across [specific regions/counties in the UK]. For domiciliary care, we typically serve within a [X mile] radius of our offices to ensure we can provide consistent, reliable support. Our residential homes are located in [specific areas]. Yes, we believe compatibility is crucial for effective care. During the assessment process, we discuss your preferences, personality, interests, and any specific requirements (such as language, cultural background, or gender preference). We then carefully match you with caregivers who we believe will be a good fit. You’ll have the opportunity to meet potential caregivers before care begins, and if for any reason the match isn’t working, we’ll arrange an alternative without question or additional cost.
We understand how important continuity is, which is why we strive to provide the same caregivers whenever possible. However, if your regular caregiver is ill or on holiday, we have backup caregivers who are fully briefed on your care plan and preferences. Where possible, we introduce backup caregivers in advance so you’re familiar with them. In our residential services, we maintain consistent staffing levels with team members who all know residents well, ensuring continuity even when individual staff members are absent.
Referrals typically come from local authority social workers, but we also accept referrals from other professionals and private enquiries. The process begins with an initial enquiry where we discuss the young person’s needs and our services. If there’s potential for a suitable placement, we conduct a comprehensive assessment, review relevant reports and care plans, and arrange meetings with the young person and relevant professionals. We then determine if we can meet their needs and, if so, create a detailed placement plan before admission. Contact info@chrystalcare.com to begin the referral process.Accordion Content
Yes, family contact is an important part of most young people’s care plans, where it’s safe and appropriate. We work closely with social workers and families to facilitate regular contact through visits, phone calls, video calls, and home visits where approved. The frequency and type of contact is agreed as part of the care plan and always prioritizes the young person’s wellbeing and safety. We provide comfortable spaces for family visits and can supervise contact if required by the care plan.
